Are you technically inclined and commercially minded? As a Sales Engineer, you translate the needs of maritime clients into suitable technical solutions. You act as the link between engineering, sales, and the customer. Always searching for the best match. Good work!

About the function

As a Sales Engineer, you are responsible for handling incoming requests for navigation and communication systems for vessels. You work closely with your colleagues in the office and in the field to prepare quotations and advise on solutions. In addition, you maintain contact with suppliers and customers, both by phone, email, and face-to-face. You analyze technical requirements and ensure that quotations are accurate both technically and commercially. You make sure the entire process—from inquiry to delivery—runs smoothly.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing customer inquiries and translating them into technical solutions
  • Preparing, following up on, and processing quotations
  • Maintaining contact with customers and suppliers
  • Acting as an internal point of contact for sales and service questions
  • Staying up to date with technical knowledge and market developments

You will work 38–40 hours per week, mainly Monday through Friday. In exceptional cases, weekend work may be required, for which additional compensation is provided.


What we need

  • MBO+ or HBO level of education and thinking, preferably technical/commercial
  • Basic knowledge of navigation and communication equipment
  • Experience in inside sales or a similar role
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Dutch and English, both spoken and written
