Are you ready to make a global impact in the field of nuclear energy? We're looking for an experienced and proactive Resident Engineer to lead Ageing Management initiatives within a high-profile, international environment.
This part-time Resident Engineer role offers a rare opportunity to contribute directly to a major nuclear power plant’s Ageing Management and Long-Term Operation (AM|LTO) efforts. You will take on a dual-function position that combines technical leadership and onsite execution within a long-term strategic maintenance program
As a key member of the AM|LTO team, you will develop and manage ageing management products, take the lead in business and project development, and oversee national and international initiatives in your area of expertise. You’ll also maintain an active presence in expert networks and contribute to business acquisition, while representing the organization at industry events and international workgroups.
In parallel, your role as a resident engineer places you at the heart of plant operations during a multi-year outage period. You will work independently within the operating organization to help implement the Ageing Management Programme, ensure alignment with project goals, and identify new business opportunities for future collaboration. Your ability to navigate complex, multicultural environments will be key to success.
This role requires flexibility to travel internationally. Approximately half of the annual working time will be spent onsite over the duration of the project.
- MSc or PhD in Engineering (preferably Nuclear Engineering); other relevant degrees with applicable experience will be considered
- 10+ years of experience in a relevant field, ideally in Plant Life Management (Maintenance, LTO, Ageing Management)
- Demonstrated success in managing technical projects
- Comfortable operating in international and multicultural settings
- Fluent in both Spanish and English (written and spoken); additional languages are an advantage
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Self-driven, culturally aware, and proactive in identifying opportunities
- Committed to quality, timely delivery, and professional excellence
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly as required
- Must be able to pass a security screening (Certificate of Good Conduct)
