International Manufacturing Company │ Gelderland Region, The Netherlands

Are you an experienced finance executive with a strong strategic mindset and a hands-on approach? For a leading international manufacturing company, we are looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who will help shape the company’s future and bring financial leadership to the next level.

Our client is a mid-sized industrial company with a strong international presence and a long-standing reputation in innovation and sustainability. With its headquarters based in the Gelderland region, the company serves global clients in markets such as textiles, chemicals, and high-performance materials. The organization employs around 100 professionals and is known for its flat hierarchy, informal culture, and strong team spirit.

Due to continued growth and modernization, the company is seeking a CFO who can provide both strategic and operational leadership. You will work closely with the CEO and be a key member of the management team.

As CFO, you will lead the finance team (5 FTE) and take ownership of all financial, legal and compliance matters. You will provide strategic financial insights, ensure solid financial operations, and support the company’s long-term growth.

Key responsibilities:

• Full responsibility for finance, control, reporting, and compliance

• Member of the executive leadership team, advising the CEO and peers

• Develop and implement financial strategies and business plans

• Provide in-depth financial analysis, risk assessments, and investment scenarios

• Lead, coach, and develop the finance team

• Optimize processes, reporting standards, and ERP systems

• Manage audits, legal reporting, and corporate governance

We’re looking for a confident and approachable financial leader who combines strategic thinking with operational excellence. You thrive in an international, fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoy being close to the business.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration

• 10+ years of relevant finance experience, including at least 3 years in a CFO or senior finance leadership role

• Experience in a manufacturing or international B2B environment is preferred

• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, controlling, and ERP systems

• Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills

• Fluent in Dutch and English (both written and spoken)

• Proficiency in Chinese is a strong plus, due to regular interactions with stakeholders in Asia
