Key responsibilities:

• Lead and inspire five supply chain teams across demand forecasting, ordering, inbound flow, inventory management, and performance analysis;
• Ensure end-to-end supply chain readiness ahead of peak sales periods;
• Own and optimize the S&OP process, in close collaboration with logistics, buying, pricing, and financial planning teams;
• Drive improvements in product availability, working capital, and operational efficiency;
• Act as a strong partner to other Heads within Retail and Logistics to align priorities and strategies.

What you bring:

• Proven experience in senior supply chain roles, ideally within retail, FMCG, or e-commerce;
• Strong understanding of data-driven supply chain operations and end-to-end process optimization;
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills within complex, matrixed organizations;
• Experience with S&OP, demand planning, and inventory management across multiple product flows;
• A structured, analytical mindset with the ability to translate strategy into execution;
• Fluency in English (Dutch is a plus).

Aanbod

• Temporary assignment for 3 months through Independent Recruiters;
• Salary around €10.000 gross per month based on 40 hour;
• 40–36 hours is preferred, 32 hours is negotiable;
• Freelancers (ZZP) are welcome to apply, but will be contracted through a temporary employment agreement (no direct freelance contracts).

Waar je gaat werken

A leading e-commerce player in the Benelux is looking for an Interim Head of Supply Chain to lead their supply chain operations during the peak retail season (Black Friday, Sinterklaas, Christmas). This is a full-time assignment from September 1st to November 30th, 2025, based in the Netherlands (hybrid working possible).

You are responsible for managing the Supply Chain department—five expert teams focused on demand planning, inbound logistics, and inventory performance. You’ll play a key role in both the Retail and Logistics leadership teams, ensuring operational stability and availability during this critical period.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned supply chain leader with a background in retail, FMCG or e-commerce, who thrives in complex, data-driven environments and is confident leading senior teams under time pressure.
