R&D Project Lead – Front End Innovation - Grooming & Beauty
Do you want to become a global project manager and lead multi-disciplinary project teams? Are you excited by product innovation for the consumer market and looking for the next step in your career? If the answer is “yes” this might be the opportunity you are looking for! As Integral Project Lead you will work for the Philips Grooming & Beauty business at the Innovation Site in Drachten. Together with your team you will develop innovative propositions and products from concept to proven solutions for different markets across the world.

Your role:

As Project Lead Front End Innovation, you will lead projects in the end-to-end (E2E) product creation cycle of Grooming & Beauty from value proposition creation, through advanced development. As part of this, you will

• Lead one or more multi-disciplinary global project teams staffed with internal and external project members (Value Proposition Creation and Advanced Development)
• Ensure projects are resourced effectively, building a winning team and steering the development team from value proposition to function-proven solutions.
• Define and achieve challenging project goals within budget, time and quality;
• Pro- actively manage risks by planning mitigation actions to ensure project stays within the agreed plan
• Map and manage stakeholders within the organization, using tailored communication plans and reporting project results and risks at various review meetings.
• Identify gaps and implement improvements in the development approach, leveraging DfSS (Design for Six Sigma) methodology.
• In collaboration with the FEI PMO Group, build project management competence, apply and improve project tools and methods

Your team

The Front End Innovation team in Drachten consists of 8 experienced project leads which all lead global projects for the different product categories in Grooming & Beauty. The team is part of the PMO department of the Philips Innovations Site in Drachten.

You're the right fit if:

• Bachelor or master degree in a commercial or technical field
• Experience in managing (international) multidisciplinary projects, preferably in consumer product development.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in building strong propositions and/or product development.
• Drive for quality and innovation, comfortable working in an international environment.
• Ambitious leader, team player with a consumer-focused mindset, good coordination and organizational skills.
• Strong project management skills, familiar with PMI PMBOK, Agile SAFE and DfSS methodologies. Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus.

How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
