Who are you? 
  • You are a proactive, hands-on, and strategic thinker with a Bachelor’s or Master’s working and thinking level. 

  • You bring 10 years of relevant work experience and a strong network among institutional donors, family and corporate foundations, along with proven success in proposal writing and public affairs engagement. 

  • You are a strong communicator with an innovative and out-of-the-box mindset, skilled in translating partner perspectives into strategic plans and meaningful collaborations. 

  • You bring strong presentation skills, and you are experienced in setting up, leading, and implementing programmes. 

  • You play a key role in achieving PUM’s goals by helping to secure part of our funding from family and corporate foundations and institutional donors. 

  • You have excellent command of the English and Dutch language.  

  • You are comfortable with the use of social media and digital tools, including Microsoft 365. 

Being a Senior Partnerships Officer – Foundations & Institutional Funding

 As a senior partnerships officer you’ll engage daily with corporate and family foundations as well as institutional donors, building long-term relationships that support PUM’s goals. Your activities are both strategic and hands-on, with public affairs playing a key role in strengthening PUM’s positioning. The partnerships department currently consists of three colleagues: a manager responsible for communications and partnerships, a senior business partnerships officer and a colleague responsible for NGO partnerships. Your daily activities will be both dynamic and challenging, just to name a few responsibilities:   

  • Developing and leading the execution of PUM’s strategic plan for family and corporate foundations and institutional donors.  

  • Staying up to date with public affairs relevant to PUM’s strategic positioning and mission. 

  • Acting as the main liaison for new and current partners and donors, as well as aligning internal stakeholders to ensure successful programmes.   

  • Analysing trends, stakeholder needs and public affairs dynamics to identify and secure new funding opportunities. 

  • Writing (co- and lead writing) winning proposals to secure funding and partnerships and deliver compelling presentations.  

Ins and outs of the role  

This full-time position at PUM (37.5 hours) offers a competitive salary ranging from €4.150,- to €5.929,- gross per month based on a full-time contract. We provide numerous perks, including an 8% holiday allowance, a 13th-month bonus, ‘working-from-home’ and commuting allowances, 28 days of holiday, a pension plan, a training budget, a weekly boot camp, and more.
