Due to our rapid expansion, we currently have an opening for an experienced Equipment Design Engineer. Key Responsibilities:

• Mechanical Design: Lead the design of food processing equipment.

• CAD Software: Utilize SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Inventor for detailed design and modeling of stainless-steel projects.

• Electro-Mechanical Systems: Design components such as motors, gearboxes, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, and sensors.

• Sanitary Design: Apply sanitary design principles and integrate clean-in-place (CIP) systems.

• Compliance: Ensure designs meet food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, FDA, USDA, EHEDG).

• Collaboration: Work with food technologists, production teams, and suppliers to refine equipment performance.

• Technical Documentation: Create manuals, parts lists, maintenance instructions, and detailed technical drawings.

• BOM Management: Develop and input Bills of Materials (BOMs) into the ERP system.

• Design Evaluation: Verify that designs meet the original requirements through analysis, inspection, and testing.

• Coordination: Collaborate with engineers, shop managers, and fabricators to address fabrication and installation issues.

• Team Leadership: Oversee junior designers and review their part drawings.

• Travel: Occasional travel to project sites as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

• At least 5 years of experience in industrial equipment design and engineering.

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, and MS Office.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.

• Experience in the food processing industry (e.g., potato, vegetable, or protein industries) is a plus.

• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.

• Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English, with the ability to collaborate effectively.

• A team player capable of building and maintaining relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
