The administrative processing of goods and of transport, export and customs matters relating to national and international transport, with due observance of the applicable regulations relating to customs formalities and regulations relating to the transport of hazardous substances.

Description

Responsible for ensuring the correct and timely delivery of destination, customs and clearance documents and for the invoicing of shipments both within and outside the EC.

Plans solutions to any transport problems independently as much as possible in order to enable deliveries to still be made on time and to avoid any extra costs.

Responsible for processing the data generated as a result of order processing so that invoicing can be carried out in good time.

Responsible for taking care of correspondence resulting from transport handling and, if necessary, order processing.

The performance of administrative actions required for good stock management.

The creation of shipping instructions; filling in freight rates for outgoing cargo and bulk transport.

Checking of any discrepancies on Factory Orders/batch cards from the warehouse/production and the administrative processing of these.

The assessment of the acceptance of 'Letter of Credit' conditions (or related shipments/conditions); advises the relevant officials from the different departments (M&S, F&A, Order Processing) on final approval and then implements the L/C and other contract consignments in accordance with the applicable procedures.

The job holder will be expected to indicate deviations in respect of transport matters in good time and to keep backlogs to a minimum. This is the problem associated with the job, along with the challenge of completing all tasks properly and on time.

The job holder is to observe the applicable procedures with regard to national and international legislation, agreements relating to price, conditions, transport costs and suchlike. Deviations from these procedures are to be discussed with the supervisor. The job holder is free to act at his own discretion within these restrictions.

Profile

The job holder has at least an education on MBO level (senior secondary vocational education) or a comparable level and will have received industry-oriented training, or gained experience for at least 3 years, in working with the various export documents and transport facilities, including ADR, L/C and customs legislation. Job holder has at least five years of experience in a similar job.

The job holder is a team player, able to work under pressure, accurate, flexible, focused on results and has good communication skills.

Job holder has good knowledge of English language, written and spoken.

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
