Then this role as a Research Analyst at an international asset management firm in Amsterdam Zuid might be the perfect next step for you. You will contribute to the development of advanced models and algorithms, which will help support global investment strategies. 

This small international investment firm, based in Amsterdam Zuid, consists of a diverse team of ten professionals. The company culture is international, with English as the main language. You will be part of a small team supporting the development and implementation of financial sub-models related to asset allocation, asset classes, macroeconomic trends, and trading.

In this role, you'll be responsible for designing, testing, and optimizing financial sub-models. Your focus will be on areas such as asset allocation, macroeconomic modelling, and trading strategies. It’s a role that offers plenty of room for growth and development.

Your tasks will include:

• Developing and documenting sub-models for strategic and tactical asset allocation.
• Conducting analyses and writing Python-based algorithms using relevant financial data.
• Testing and improving models based on performance insights and back-testing results.
• Creating clear presentations and reports based on your findings.
• Collaborating closely with internal teams while following structured processes.

You are precise, eager to learn, and comfortable working with complex data. You also communicate clearly and feel at home in an English-speaking environment.

• You have a (research) (Master’s) degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• You have either internship or work experience in the financial sector, or a strong academic background in quantitative analysis.
• You have hands-on experience with Python and are confident in analyzing large datasets.
• Knowledge of Bloomberg and a CFA, CPA or FRM certificate would be preferred
