Our client, a leading multidisciplinary engineering firm, is seeking a Senior Buyer to strengthen their procurement team and support a variety of technical projects across different market segments, including energy, petrochemical, food, pharma, and building-related installations.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with Project Managers to define specifications for goods and services, prepare and issue RFPs/RFQs, analyze supplier proposals, and draft contracts or purchase orders. You will manage contract execution, monitor progress, and ensure timely adjustments when needed. As a key link between clients, internal stakeholders, and suppliers, you will also provide expert advice on procurement procedures and contribute to the development of purchasing policies. Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Senior Buyer or Contracts Manager within a project-driven organization (construction, utilities, or engineering).
Bachelor’s degree in a technical or economic field (e.g., construction, logistics, technical business administration, or economics).
Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Proven experience preparing SoWs, service agreements, and construction contract packages.
Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
NEVI-2 certification or equivalent is a plus.
Knowledge of contract forms such as FIDIC, UAV, UAV-GC; experience with Design & Build contracts is a strong advantage.
Proactive mindset, commercial acumen, and ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
