As Head of Operations, you will be at the heart of our organization, ensuring our business processes run smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with our strategic goals. You will lead cross-functional teams, drive performance through process optimization, and help us innovate and grow.


Your Responsibilities
  • Will be part of the company’s Management Team, cooperating with the Managing Director, Head of Technology and Head of Sales, being responsible for the Operations side of the business;

  • Lead the team members and operational departments. You inspire, motivate, coach, and guide the team;

  • Develop and implement project strategies aligned with business objectives;

  • Lead and coach team leads across Project Management, Order Management, and Commissioning;

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations (e.g., ISO, VCA). Risk management: ensuring effective risk management processes and achieving our quality standards. Reporting project results and deviations to management;

  • Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, handling escalations as needed;

  • Coordinate cross-project challenges with the internal manufacturing companies within HoSt Group;

  • Continuously improve operational processes and implement best practices and innovations including software tools;

  • Collaborate with the Product Development team to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.



What do we ask
  • A completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or business-related field;

  • Proven experience in operations and/or project management within the technical sector (e.g., mechanical engineering, energy, infrastructure, or manufacturing);

  • In-depth knowledge of project management methods and relevant tools for example PRINCE2, PMI, Agile. Experience managing a project portfolio and knowledge of risk management are required;

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop diverse teams.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders at all levels;

  • Financial insight and experience managing project budgets;

  • Knowledge of contract management (Orgalime / IChemE is a pre) and procurement processes;

  • Understanding of applicable laws, regulations, and quality standards;

  • Expectation to travel (1 week per month);

  • Fluent in both Dutch and English; German is a plus;

  • Valid driver’s license (category B).
