Our client is a producer of sustainable fuel. They are an international operating organization working across 16 countries. In the Netherlands, their refineries are located in the Maasvlakte 2 and in Zeeland, employing around 300 colleagues. For them we are looking for a HSE Engineer Industrial Hygiene / Arbeidshygiene.. As an HSE Engineer, you work closely with the Personal Safety Team and local site management to ensure that all activities in the field of Personal Safety, Environment and Quality are managed effectively in daily operations. Your role is essential in helping the site achieve its HSSEQ and business objectives. By supporting stakeholders in complying with legal, permitting, and corporate requirements, you drive continuous improvement and contribute to a safe, compliant, and sustainable workplace. You are part of the Health & Safety team of 8 collegues and report to the Teamlead Health & Safety.

Your responsibilities will be:
• Maintain the Hygiene and Exposure Program to prevent potential adverse health effects due to workplace hazards, thus maintaining a safe and healthy work environment and a healthy workforce.
• Support the implementation of the Personal Safety processes and lead parts of the implementation (ISO9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
• Help to improve and consolidate the HSE performance and associated development activities
• Support in maintaining compliance with HSE processes on site, conducting audits and support for the development of sufficient and effective auditing processes
• Provide expertise to analyse and to report the HSE performance and to prioritise development areas together with the involved stakeholders
• Create and continuously develop the monthly HSSEQ reporting by using established tools, such as Synergi and Power BI
• Develop and update procedures, methodologies, and working methods in collaboration with (internal and external) users regarding personal safety.
• Support and advise supervisors and managers on issues related to personal safety
• Perform structured risk and root cause analyses, provide advice and draft risk management action plan
• Conducting internal audits for compliance with internal procedures regarding personal safety, quality, and the environment based on (certification) standards.
• Monitoring and closing the PDCA loop and continuously improving Personal Safety processes.
• Analyse HSE related training needs on site and assist in rolling out those trainings. • HBO level
• Extensive knowledge of Personal Safety and Industrial Hygiene (Arbeidshygiene)
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in HSEQ in process industry
• Experience in Evaluation and Reporting, Risk Assessments and Incident investigation
• You communicate easily at all levels in the organization, you are approachable and a good sparring partner

• A gross month salary between € 5.500 and € 7.200 depending on experience and knowlegde
