Are you detail-oriented, proactive, and skilled at managing financial processes? We are looking for a dedicated Credit Controller on behalf of our client, an international organization in the fashion and apparel sector, based in Hoofddorp.
Key Responsibilities
Collections Management & Customer Relations
Oversee accounts receivable ledgers, ensuring timely collection of overdue debts
Contact customers via phone, email, and written correspondence to arrange payment following agreed terms
Oversee a designated portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring transparency regarding payments and clear communication on invoices and credit limits
Escalate and refer unresolved debts to management or external partners when appropriate
Billing Administration & Data Oversight
Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure invoices are issued correctly and on schedule
Address and resolve billing discrepancies in invoices or payment terms
Financial Analysis & Documentation
Carry out credit checks and assessments for new and existing customers, and provide advice on payment conditions and credit limits
Prepare and maintain financial reports such as aging reports, cash flow forecasts, and receivables status for monthly and annual closings
Keep accurate records of all interactions, disputes, and payments in ERP systems
System Enhancement & Regulatory Adherence
Contribute to the optimization of credit control procedures to minimize overdue balances and improve efficiency
Ensure alignment with internal policies and applicable legal requirements concerning credit and collections
Immediate availability to start
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or credit collections
Professional fluency in English and proficiency in other languages, such as German, French, Italian, or Dutch, is highly preferable
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business (preferred)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Strong knowledge of ERP and credit control systems (SAP preferred; other systems are a plus)
Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a professional, customer-oriented approach
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Confident self-starter with proactive problem-solving abilities
Monthly gross salary between €3000-€4000

This is a temporary position with an immediate start date, running for at least 2 months, with the possibility for an extension.
