What you’ll do

Autarco is looking for a Battery Specialist to act as the go-to technical expert for all matters related to battery systems. In this role, you will support dealers, sales engineers, and field service teams with your expertise in battery storage technology. Your contribution will be vital to produc reliability, customer satisfaction, and the continuous innovation of Autarco’s energy storage solutions.

Technical support & troubleshooting

  • Serve as the primary technical contact for customers and service teams regarding battery-related issues
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot battery system failures, as well as providing 2nd line support for Solar PV systems
  • Provide remote and on-site support to resolve complex technical problems
  • Work closely with the product team to escalate and resolve critical issues

Customer & field service support

  • Assist customers on-site with installation, commissioning, EMS integration, and proper maintenance of battery systems
  • Conduct training sessions for our customers, service technicians, and partners on battery technology, troubleshooting, and best practices
  • Support warranty claim assessments and failure analysis

Continuous improvement & collaboration

  • Provide feedback to product development teams to enhance battery performance, reliability and to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Stay up to date with industry standards, safety regulations, and emerging battery technologies
  • Support integration of BMS with 3rd party EMS platforms, ensuring seamless operation
  • Collect and analyze field data to identify trends and opportunities for product improvements
What you’ll bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3 years of experience with battery systems, energy storage, or power electronics
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues both remotely and on-site
  • Hands-on experience with Battery Management Systems (BMS) and diagnostics
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform under pressure

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with industrial battery systems, preferably in renewable energy
  • Familiarity with standards such as PGS, IEC, UL, ISO, etc
  • Experience with remote monitoring tools and performance data analysis
  • Strong customer communication skills and experience in technical support roles
  • Strong understanding of lithium-ion, lead-acid, and other battery chemistries
  • Dutch language preferred, but not mandatory
