As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our customers. By doing so with precision, you not only contribute to the success of your team, but also to the day-to-day operations and success in the warehouse and distribution centres. For example, storing and delivering delicate flowers and fresh ingredients to local stores for everyday lunches and family celebrations. Are you ready to take charge of managing projects within existing or new Kuehne+Nagel facilities, focusing on key workstreams like Process & Operations, IS, Facility & Equipment + IT, HR, and distribution.

You will lead the charge in project operations and be the go-to expert for customers and stakeholders alike. In this pivotal role, you'll take command of the daily running of projects, ensuring every detail is executed flawlessly. You'll be at the forefront, preparing Gate submissions, managing risk reviews, and facilitating key approvals for Lite/Small projects. Your ability to craft and manage project plans with critical interdependencies will be vital in driving success.

How you create impact
  • Manage basic projects in existing or new facilities, focusing on workstreams such as Process & Operations, Information Systems, Facility & Equipment + IT, HR, and distribution.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the project and act as the main point of contact for customers throughout.
  • Prepare Gate submissions, review statuses and risks, and facilitate approval or rejection by project teams and experts.
  • Create and manage project plans with interdependencies, identifying critical paths to ensure smooth execution.
  • Present to customers and internal senior stakeholders, showcasing progress and addressing key concerns.
  • Manage internal stakeholders, including project steering teams, sponsors, site managers, workstream leads, and department managers.
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders, including customer project managers, senior stakeholders, and equipment suppliers (e.g., MHE delivery).
  • Ensure project deliverables are met on-time and within budget, while facilitating smooth approval meetings and collaboration.
What we would like you to bring
  • Extensive experience in project management
  • Ability to drive end to end projects including project initiation, risk and critical path assessments
  • Guide approval and rejections decisions with senior stakeholders
  • Ability to present to the customer and internal senior stakeholders
  • Extensive Communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Bachelors degree in a related discipline
  • Professional Fluency in English, command of Dutch or Flemish is highly desirable

We work in a flexible working schedule whereas your private life- work balance is optimal, including the possibility to work via home office days. In this position a company car is involved and there is a bonus included. You will start with an annual contract, and if everyone is satisfied, resulting in a permanent employment afterwards.
