De werkzaamheden en functieprofiel zijn omschreven in het Engels. De voertaal tijdens de opdracht zal ook in het Engels zijn. IT Support is responsible for engineering, administering and maintaining the MCCE Local Area Network (LAN), contingency planning and further development of the Communication and Information Systems/Information Technology (CIS/IT) used in the MCCE and advice Chief Support in all CIS/IT affairs. Also, IT Support is responsible, under the Directorate, for the overall IT security at MCCE. IT Support consists of 2 (possible) non-fulltime positions with shared responsibility for output and should complement each other in IT knowledge.

• Helpdesk: Provide technical support to users.

• System Management: Maintain system contingency plans (backup, restore, troubleshooting, disaster recovery). Perform server and workstation updates. Manage system health, storage space, and quotas.

• IT Security: Develop and maintain security policies and controls. Analyze security incidents and escalate events. Supervise logs, firewalls, and proxies. Apply security updates and manage user access.

• Training: Train new staff on MCCE CIS/IT infrastructure.

Achtergrond opdrachtMCCE is an organisation focussed on the availability of strategic military transport capacity. It’s an independent organisation that consists of 30 participating nations. The MCCE currently consists of 33 people from 20 different nationalities/countries. MCCE is closely working together with SALCC (4 people). ICT support is given to both MCCE and SALCC. MCCE is staffed by international military. On average these international military are positioned for 3 years and bring their family to Eindhoven for this period. As a result, working in the MCCE is working in a social active environment. Personal Competencies:

Door het internationale karakter van MCCE dient er met regelmaat fysieke interactie plaats te vinden. Dit om te voorkomen dat er onhandigheden ontstaan in de communicatie (door indirect communiceren in niet eigen taal). Thuiswerken is in deze positie mogelijk, maar dit dient ook te passen met een regelmatige/voorspelbare fysieke aanwezigheid op de afdeling.
