If you’re a physicist or quantum engineer who can bridge theory and build, you’ll love what’s on offer here. This is your chance to shape real photonic quantum hardware, rom OAM-based qudits to full processor architectures, without the usual lab-coat limitations.

About the Job

You’ll help build the foundations of a single-photon, room-temperature quantum processor. It’s not just a theory exercise, we’re talking scalable, manufacturable, gate-based photonic architectures designed to run in ambient conditions and compact edge systems.

What you’ll be doing

Designing deterministic multi-qudit quantum gates (including CNOT and beyond).
Defining scalable layouts and architectures that can actually be built.
Working closely with control engineers on photon sources, detectors, and error correction modules.
Contributing to middleware and software stacks that let algorithms run on real quantum hardware.
Collaborating across theory and hardware to translate ideas into chips, and then into IP.

What you’ll bring

A PhD in Quantum Physics, Quantum Information, or Photonics Engineering.
Deep knowledge of qudits, quantum gate design, and quantum optics.
Familiarity with architectural design and modelling tools like PennyLane or Qiskit.
An understanding of how to scale quantum systems: from theory to multi-photon circuits to deployable QPUs.
A track record of peer-reviewed publications and/or architectural patents.
