The Project
We are kicking off a new, high-impact project and are looking for experienced freelance engineers to strengthen our team. You will play a key role in designing and delivering high-throughput, consumer-facing systems on AWS serverless architecture.
Your Role
As a Senior Software Engineer / Backend Engineer / Cloud Software Engineer / AWS Serverless Engineer, you will:
- Architecture, develop, and optimize serverless applications on AWS.
- Work with Lambda, DynamoDB (including schema design), API Gateway, EventBridge, CloudFront, and Kinesis.
- Deliver multi-region deployments with CDK and TypeScript.
- Ensure security best practices with OAuth integration.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines (GitLab) and automated testing.
- Collaborate with a diverse and skilled engineering team to hit project milestones on time.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven expertise with AWS serverless architecture.
- Strong backend engineering skills (TypeScript preferred).
- Experience building and scaling consumer-facing systems.
- Solid grasp of CI/CD, testing, and modern cloud practices.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset and collaborative working style.
Details
- Contract: Freelance, 6 months (with possible extension).
- Location: Hybrid (Amsterdam office + remote flexibility). Must live in The Netherlands
- Start date: 15th September. Must
- Interviewing: First week of September.
