Volledige vacaturetekst

Are you excited about designing tools that help people work better and make complex systems easier? Do you like working in technical teams and creating important products used inside a company? If yes, we want to hear from you!

What are you going to do?

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our Maps Design team in Amsterdam. You will design intuitive, efficient, and scalable geospatial tools that support map production, data visualization, spatial analysis, and decision-making. This is a great chance to work on impactful projects that support location services, routing, autonomous mobility, and delivery logistics. The internal tools you design will be used by engineers, mapping experts, and operations teams—directly shaping how mapping data is created, managed, and visualized at scale.

As a Senior Product Designer you will:

  • Design complete experiences for geospatial tools used by engineers, mapping experts, and operations teams;
  • Lead design work from research and ideation to final design and developer handoff;
  • Simplify complex workflows and technical systems through clear, usable design;
  • Create easy-to-use and reliable tools for users with different levels of technical expertise;
  • Work closely with engineers, product managers, data scientists, and design teams to build scalable solutions;
  • Conduct research to uncover user pain points and improve usability;
  • Design modular UI components and frameworks that ensure consistency and future extensibility;
  • Present and communicate your design ideas clearly in meetings and documentation.

Note: This role collaborates with U.S.-based teams, so some meetings may take place until 7:30–8:00 PM (1–2 days a week). On those days, you can start and finish work later to balance your hours.

What do we offer?
  • Salary between €7,000 and €7,800 gross per month, based on a 40-hour temporary contract;
  • 25 paid vacation days;
  • 8.33% holiday allowance;
  • Pension plan from day one;
  • Access to the Adecco Academy for personal and professional growth.
Where will you work?

You will work for a well-known international company in the mobility industry. They operate in many countries and offer services that move people and deliver food worldwide.

What do we ask?
  • 5+ years of product design experience, with a focus on internal tools, enterprise systems, or data-heavy platforms;
  • Strong foundation in user-centered design for complex workflows and technical domains;
  • Proficiency in Figma and other design/prototyping tools;
  • Experience designing responsive web applications across desktop, tablet, and browser-based platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in HCI, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a related field;
  • Portfolio showcasing thoughtful, user-focused design across data tools, spatial interfaces, or enterprise applications;
  • Familiarity with geospatial systems, GIS platforms, or location-aware interfaces;
  • Strong craft in visual and interaction design with attention to detail;
  • Experience collaborating with researchers, data scientists, and technical stakeholders;
  • Comfort designing within and contributing to a large-scale design system.
