Are you passionate about staying active and working with your hands? If screwdrivers and wrenches are familiar tools to you, and you know your way around a toolbox, then join our team of bicycle mechanics! As a bicycle mechanic at this company, you will contribute to making 270,000 customers happy every day with a properly functioning bike, including 70,000 in Amsterdam. Some bikes break down daily, and your role will be to repair them so they can be reused and bring joy to our customers again. Curious? Keep reading! Your workday begins at 3:30 PM with a team meeting where the day's goals are discussed, and there's room for questions. You will then work with your colleagues, taking a bike from the rack, inspecting it to identify issues, and performing a thorough check-up. After cleaning the bike, you'll take it for a test ride to ensure it runs smoothly. Once it passes, you'll place it on the repaired bike rack and move on to the next one. We don't expect you to know how to repair a bike from top to bottom right away. The company provides an onboarding program, and a trainer is always available to support you with any questions. After mastering the job in 2 to 3 months and working independently, the company will be happy to discuss the next step in your career. This could include switching to the day shift, which runs 8-hour shifts, offering more hours for you! In the long term, you can even grow into a role as an e-bike mechanic.
