Position overview
The Technology BU is a global organization with discipline-based governance and priority setting, supported by Agile ways of working. It is organized across the three domains, with each housing equipment, software, and architecture & integration engineers, ensuring cohesive development. This approach will offer our customers shorter lead times, as well as more cost-effective and reliable solutions. Next to the 3 domains there will be a Innovation and Enabling Technology department, which will focus on driving adjacent and disruptive innovation, advancing digital transformation, and ensuring that Vanderlande remains at the forefront of logistics automation technology.
As a Transformation Manager, you are a strategic designer, change leader, and agile coach in one. You will develop an inspiring, company-wide transformation vision, derive a robust strategy from it, and take responsibility for its implementation – across all hierarchical levels, from development teams to senior management. In doing so, you be part of an interdisciplinary team of Agile Coaches, Change Managers, and Trainers to steer and guide them methodologically.
There are several transformations within Vanderlande which you can focus on (eg Agile, EtO to CtO, Sustainability) However your first focus will be On Agile Wow and portfolio management.
Your goal is to establish and scale Business Agility as a sustainable capability within the organization.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop a clear and motivating transformation vision aligned with the corporate strategy
- Derive and manage a scalable, implementation-oriented transformation strategy
- Build and maintain transformation roadmaps with measurable intermediate goals (OKRs / KPIs)
- Integrate and manage change management capabilities to ensure effective stakeholder engagement
- Coach and enable leaders to actively drive and embody change
- Develop a network of transformation agents within the organization (scaling through multipliers)
- Collaborate with a network of Agile Coaches, Trainers, and Change Managers, CoP (Center of Practitioners) taking clear responsibility for the transformation strategy
- Coordinate cross-functional teams on all levels, from ART-level, Module Team level to Portfolio Level.
- Introduce and scale agile ways of working based on the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
- To improve our Agile WoW support ART launches, PI plannings, and Inspect & Adapt workshops
- Define the Portfolio management Vision across the domains, set Guardrails, and Lean Budgeting and support domains in there Lean Portfolio Management (LPM), including Portfolio. Apply Participatory Budgeting to allocate strategic resources
- Establish effective flow systems, e.g., using Kanban and value stream analysis
- Build KPI systems to measure flow, agility, and maturity levels
- Through Portolio management the transformation from project- to product-orientation (from EtO to CtO) will be accelerated
- Completed studies in business, IT, psychology, organizational development, or related fields
- At least 8 years of experience managing and executing agile transformations and/or portfolio management – ideally within the SAFe framework or comparable scaling frameworks
- Deep expertise in:
- Lean Portfolio Management (including Guardrails and Participatory Budgeting)
- Agile Coaching, especially at leadership level
- Experience in content leadership and coordination of interdisciplinary teams in a high tech environment
- Ability to clearly communicate complex topics – from team level to executive management
- High level of self-organization, drive, empathy, and systemic thinking
- Confident use of agile tools (e.g., Jira Align, Miro, Kanbanize) and transformation metrics

This position offers a competitive salary range of € € 6.281,64 to € 8.525,08 gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance). Through exceeding performance expectations, you even have the possibility to grow outside this scale.
On top of your fixed salary you’ll receive the following secondary benefits:
