Are you detail-oriented, structured, and passionate about the world of investments? As an Investment Operations Specialist, you will ensure smooth and accurate investment processes. From managing the entire trade cycle and reconciliations to preparing reports and supporting client onboarding, you will play a key role in both daily operations and long-term improvements.

This small international investment firm, based in Amsterdam, consists of a compact international diverse team. You will be part of a team in trade operations support and reporting being part of the mid to back office in the investment operations team.  

What will you do as an Investment Operations Specialist?

In this role, you’ll make sure all investment processes run smoothly and accurately. You’ll be involved in the full trade cycle while working closely with internal teams, clients, and external providers.

More specifically, you will:

• Monitor and settle trades while performing reconciliations;
• Follow up on corporate actions and other similar actions and reconcile cash and portfolio positions;
• Prepare internal and client reports, including month-end valuations and risk analysis and also preparing necessary regulatory reporting;
• Support the onboarding of new clients and funds;
• Maintain strong relationships with brokers, custodians, and fund administrators;
• Identify and Improve processes and measure (risk) controls.

What will you bring to the table

You thrive on accuracy, structure, and teamwork. You enjoy improving processes and have a strong eye for detail.

You also bring:

• A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field such as Quantitative Finance or Business Studies.;
• 2-3 years experience in financial services, ideally across multiple asset classes;
• Solid knowledge of the trading lifecycle and fund administration (NAV, regulatory reporting);
• Strong analytical and organizational skills;
• Excellent Excel skills; knowledge of Excel VBA and/or Python is an advantage;
• Strong communication skills in English.
