As an order picker at Royal FloraHolland, you’ll be working at the flower auction, where you’ll move flowers using an electric cart. The flowers are placed on containers, and you’ll move them with the help of a headset or terminal (depending on the department you’re assigned to).

In the flower department, you’ll receive a headset that is trained to recognize your voice and respond to your commands. In the plant department, the process is the same, but there you’ll work with a terminal.

You follow the instructions from the terminal and/or headset to move the flower containers. After moving the container to the assigned location, you check the container.

A day as an order picker

You start every morning at 06:00. After clocking in, you attend the daily briefing, where your team leader discusses the most important matters of the day, such as improvement and safety points. Then you check the screen to see what time your workday ends (this varies between 10:00 and 13:00) and how many carts you need to process that day. Next, you put on your headset and hop on your electric cart. With the help of the headset, you receive clear instructions on where to go. You follow the numbers in the hall and pick up your cart there.

We are looking for:

An early bird! You start working at 06:00. The end time is between 10:00 and 13:00.

You work on weekdays and have weekends off.

Based on a full week (5 days), you work 20–25 hours per week.

You are available at least 3 days per week, with Monday and Friday being mandatory days.

At Royal FloraHolland, you’ll receive two paid training days, during which you’ll learn the logistics process and how to safely drive the electric cart.
