Job description
We are looking for a Carpenter with great hand dexterity and an eye for detail. The desired candidate represents the W lifestyle to our guests and customers.

You, like the rest of our ‘talent’ are the soul behind the brand and they bring it to life. You have good knowledge of wood properties and other carpentry materials. You are able to work with little supervision whilst following all health and safety standards. Moreover, you are required to handle job-related issues and complaints and give professional advice on how to solve them.

Main responsibilities

• Observe defects and setting diagnoses

• Stock control; order new parts and equipment in consultation with Chief Engineer

• Replace fire seals

• Repair replace hinges as required

• Repair door hardware, door rubbers, sliding doors & wardrobes

• Some cabinet building required

• Make timber mouldings

• Maintain a safe, clean and efficient work site

• Install locks and lock cases, door closers

• Replace tiles and minor tiling works as required

• Do maintenance checks building wide on all fire doors and fire rated door equipment

• Do window repairs as required, window hardware

• Perform daily engineering duties

• General room and public area maintenance

Job Requirements

• Technical MBO study; High school diploma with a successful completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program is required

• Proven experience as a carpenter

• Good knowledge of English
