How you will contribute as a Senior Logistics Engineer:

• Act as the main point of contact and subject matter expert for mechanization and large-scale improvement projects, liaising with internal teams, suppliers, and customers;
• Design and detail mechanization and process concepts that form the foundation for future-proof warehouse operations;
• Collaborate closely with Project Management teams to develop and implement solutions that meet business requirements;
• Maintain a clear overview in a fast-paced and continuously changing environment;
• Provide well-founded recommendations and decisions on medium- and long-term solutions;
• Update and refine headcount analysis tools to assess the impact of business changes and prepare reports to support Operations;
• Drive data-based improvements across the site and ensure effective execution;
• Present complex technical solutions internally and to customers, ensuring all engineering perspectives are represented;
• Manage engineering activities for assigned projects, including budgets, processes, equipment, standards, and facilities;
• Coach and mentor Junior Engineers within the team;
• Share expertise as an engineering specialist, contributing knowledge to the wider engineering community and operational teams;
• Apply Lean methodologies in daily work, including line balancing, PFEP, value stream mapping, process FMEA’s, control plans, engineering studies, and resource requirement sheets;
• Sponsor and support continuous improvement initiatives led by operational teams.

Gevraagd

• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or Technical Logistics.
• At least 3 years of experience in an engineering role, preferably involving large-scale mechanization and automation projects;
• Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written;
• Proven stakeholder management and the ability to present with impact;
• A strong sense of urgency and the resilience to perform under pressure;
• Ability to adapt and thrive in a continuously changing environment with demanding customers;
• Project management experience and a solid understanding of Lean methodologies;
• Proficiency in MS Office 365, with advanced Excel skills and good knowledge of MS Visio;
• Experience with AutoCAD is an advantage;
• Excellent social and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset.
