As HR & Payroll Generalist, you will manage HR operational and administrative tasks, support HR programs, and act as the first point of contact for payroll and HR administration queries. You will report to the Sr. Manager HR and work closely with the HR Business Partner, Talent Acquisition Associate, and Sr. Financial Administrator.
Description
Human Resources
- Support the HR team with documentation and communication related to employee benefits and HR programs, ensuring updates are shared across the EMEA region.
- Draft general HR communications in collaboration with HR colleagues.
- Maintain contact with EMEA associates, answering questions about HR processes and administration.
- Keep HR administration and staff records accurate and up to date.
- Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition Associate on onboarding tasks (payroll and admin).
- Perform operational and administrative tasks in local and global HR systems.
- Manage leave administration and sick leave registration, including coordination with health service providers.
- Organize quarterly Health Consultations at the office.
- Prepare HR data reports, staff lists, and analytics.
Payroll
- Handle monthly payroll processing in collaboration with the HR team and Sr. Financial Administrator.
- Onboard new employees in payroll systems (BCS).
- Process payroll changes, new hires, and documentation, including Dayforce.
- Manage payroll for DACH and UK teams with local administrative offices.
- Perform payroll data control, mutations, and new employee processing.
- Maintain employee records in BCS, Dayforce, and insurance platforms (disability, pension, life insurance, sick leave insurance).
- Ensure payroll compliance with fiscal regulations and legislation.
- Update payroll systems with new or adjusted wage components.
- Serve as the main contact for payroll-related queries and BCS matters.
Profile
- MBO4 or equivalent in Payroll Administration (Salarisadministratie) or relevant HR studies/experience.
- 3+ years in payroll with similar responsibilities; 1-2 years in HR with knowledge of HR processes.
- Proficient knowledge of Dutch labor law; UK and/or German labor law experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch (proficient) and English (business level).
- Experience maintaining confidentiality and managing sensitive HR data.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems (BCS, Dayforce).
- Residence in the greater Amsterdam area.
Job Offer
- A salary between €3,375 - €3,840 per month (based on a 37-hour workweek).
- A performance bonus of 7% of the annual salary (non-guaranteed, based on global, team, and individual goals)

- Hybrid way of working - typically 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. For a 32-hour contract, this can be 2 office days and 2 remote days, with flexibility to be in the office more if needed.
- Flexibility: this position can be filled with either a 32-hour or 37-hour (full time) contract, depending on the candidate's skills and availability.
- 25 leave days per year.
