As an Operator at Nedal Aluminium in Utrecht, you will join the extrusion department, where aluminium is transformed into high-quality profiles for a wide range of applications. These products are used in industries such as rail transport, bicycle manufacturing, grandstand construction, and the events sector. In this role, you will play an important part in delivering innovative aluminium solutions that are supplied to customers around the world.

What you can expect from us:

• Salary: A gross monthly salary between €3,631 and €3,973, including a 16% shift allowance, in accordance with the Metalektro collective labour agreement.
• Long-term opportunity: A full-time position of 40 hours per week with the prospect of a permanent contract.
• Travel expenses: Reimbursement for commuting costs from 5 kilometres and above.
• Holiday entitlement: 25 vacation days per year.
• Development opportunities: Access to training programmes, certifications such as forklift and VCA, and career paths towards positions including Allround Press Operator or Shift Leader.

Wat ga je doen?
Your tasks as an Operator include:

• Adjusting and fine-tuning the saw to accurately cut aluminium profiles according to specifications
• Running equipment that straightens and aligns aluminium profiles to the correct shape
• Checking finished products to ensure they meet size requirements, are properly aligned, and free from defects
• Mounting and changing dies while working closely with the press operator to keep production running smoothly

Working hours: You will start in a two-shift system, working from 06:30 to 15:00 and from 14:30 to 23:30. After this initial period, you will move into a three-shift rotation: 07:00 to 15:00, 15:00 to 23:00, and 23:00 to 07:00.
If you depend on public transport, support is available to help arrange suitable options. Schedules are shared well in advance, and there is flexibility to swap shifts with colleagues when necessary.

Jouw kwaliteiten

• You are able to communicate effectively in Dutch or English, enabling safe and productive teamwork.
• You have a technical background through education, training, or hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Possession of certificates such as forklift, reach truck, Safe Lifting, or VCA is advantageous. If you do not have them yet, you are willing to obtain them through company-supported training.
• You enjoy working in an industrial setting and are comfortable in an environment where noise levels and temperatures can vary throughout the day.
