Job Description

As an Electrical Measurement and Control Technician, you are responsible for installing, certifying, and maintaining large-scale energy meters and metering systems for business clients. You work largely independently in the field, start your day directly from home, and visit multiple clients daily. This role is a perfect fit for an electrical engineer who enjoys being on the road, working with their hands, and takes pleasure in solving technical issues at the client's location.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• The workday starts from home, after which you drive the Mercedes Vito commercial van directly to the first customer.
• On average, you visit between three and six customers per day, primarily in the Central and Southwest Netherlands region.
• The work consists of installing, certifying, and replacing large-scale energy meters within electricity distribution at business connections.
• In addition, you resolve malfunctions during regular working hours and carry out repairs to measuring installations. Additional installation work related to measurement and control technology is also part of the position.
• Using a Microsoft Surface tablet, laptop, and modern measuring equipment, you receive assignments, create reports, and accurately maintain records.
• Regular consultations take place on-site with technical managers, installers, and grid operators, during which you actively contribute to finding practical solutions.

Profile

You are an electrical engineer who enjoys working outdoors, at customer locations. You work accurately—to measure is to know—and enjoy analyzing faults and clearly explaining to customers what you are doing.

You bring

• A completed education in Electrical Engineering (MBO 2, 3 or 4 / MTS / HTS or equivalent).
• Experience as an electrical service technician, measurement technician, lead technician, or similar - or you are at the beginning of your career and want to learn this trade.
• Willingness to obtain certificates such as VP VIAG and VP BEI via Censo.
• Experience with or affinity for measurement and control technology, energy meters, or industrial electrical engineering is a plus.
• Proficiency with digital tools such as tablets, laptops, and measuring equipment.
• A valid category B driving license.
• You are a team player, but can also work independently very well and organize your own schedule.
