As a Maintenance Technician, together with the team, you play an important role. You keep the installations in excellent condition through your maintenance and resolve breakdowns — independently or with the help of suppliers. Thanks to your work, production colleagues can work without interruptions.
Thanks to your technical experience in a production environment, you quickly get onboarded and grow towards becoming an independent technician. You work independently, but you are not alone: you collaborate with team leaders and operate within a technical team (3 employees). You submit improvement ideas and see their implementation in practice. In this way, you delve into the root causes of breakdowns, really get to know the installations, and have space to develop and upgrade your qualifications.

Together with partners, the grower cultivates and processes items such as cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, celery, and lettuce, with attention to sustainability and a short supply chain.

Work Execution
- Independently perform modification, construction, preventive, and repair work on electrical and electronic installations.
- Locate and troubleshoot breakdowns, including complex faults.
- Commission, decommission, test, and measure installations and devices.
- Administratively record actions in Ultimo, including work orders, time and material accounting, and updating maintenance schedules.
- Direct the work of external parties and supervise the safe, qualitative, and quantitative execution of their work.
Training and Coaching - Transfer technical knowledge to mechanics, production team leaders, and production workers to improve machine inspection and prevent breakdowns.
- Adjust and reconfigure equipment in cooperation with staff.
Improvements and Technical Development - Identify areas requiring improvement and present proposals for maintenance, optimization, and investments.
- Participate in projects aimed at improving efficiency, plant availability, and cost reduction.
- Ensure proper maintenance of installations, materials, and tools.
Regulatory Compliance and Sustainability - Comply with all company regulations, safety, and quality standards (occupational health and safety, HACCP, BRC, IFS) both by internal employees, hired technicians, and external entities.
- Identify potential disruptions to work progress, budget overruns, and deviations from standards.
- Contribute to a sustainable and socially responsible way of working, paying attention to people, the environment, society, and the company.
Social Skills and Communication - Communicate clearly and in a service-oriented manner with colleagues, production staff, and external entities.
- Issue instructions and guidance, share knowledge, and exchange experiences.

A Day in the Life of a Maintenance Technician
- 07:03 You arrive at the plant in Zeewolde, greet your colleagues, and first make yourself a coffee to start the day fully focused.
- 07:18 You make your first round along the lines, check if everything is running smoothly, and ask colleagues if there are any issues.

- 08:47 You tackle an installation breakdown: looking for the cause and resolving it. Can't manage on your own? Supplier technicians will help you over the phone so you can keep moving forward.

- Salary of €3,750 - €4,200 for 38 hours per week
- On-call allowance (17 days or 12%) added to salary
- 8.25% holiday allowance in addition to salary
- 25 days of paid leave per year (at 38 hours per week)
