Cost Engineer (Substations)

We are looking for Cost Engineer with expertise working on high-voltage substation coming from contarcting company!

The company provides integrated services across the entire lifecycle of high-voltage projects, including engineering, design, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and optimization of complex power networks. Its teams work on critical infrastructure projects such as high-voltage substations, cable connections, overhead transmission lines, and grid reinforcement initiatives for major utility and industrial clients.

As a High Voltage Cost Engineer, you will be responsible for developing accurate and competitive cost estimates for complex multidisciplinary energy and infrastructure projects. Working as part of a tendering team, you will analyze client requirements, technical specifications, and project documentation to prepare reliable cost calculations and support successful project delivery.

• Analyze tender documents, technical specifications, and project requirements to develop comprehensive cost estimates.
• Prepare detailed cost calculations and ensure alignment with tender and project objectives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, Planning, Contract Management, and QHSE to gather and validate cost information.
• Support the continuous improvement of estimating methodologies, tools, and internal processes.
• Provide clear handovers of estimates to project teams and support the transition from tender phase to project execution.
• Review completed projects and previous tenders to identify lessons learned and improve future estimates.
• Contribute to projects ranging from smaller technical assignments to large-scale infrastructure and energy projects valued at over €100 million.

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with experience gained working on high-voltage projects
• Experience with cost estimating, tendering, or project calculations for HV substation
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical and commercial information.
• Well-developed planning, organizational, and communication skills.
• Fluency in both Dutch and English
• Results-driven mindset with attention to detail.
• Valid driving license.
