What you'll be doing
As a reach truck driver, you are an important link in the production process. You drive a reach truck and move large boxes of cheese within the factory. The cheeses are on wooden shelves and are brought to the right place with the reach truck. The cheeses and shelves can sometimes be a bit wobbly, so a steady hand, good judgment, and a feel for the truck are very important. These aren’t standard pallets with boxes. You gradually learn how to approach and move the load better. In addition, you make sure the production line stays continuously filled. You fill the conveyor belt with cheese using your reach truck. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that the production process keeps running. Here’s what you’ll do: • Operating the reach truck inside the cheese factory; • Moving large boxes of cheese; • Supplying cheese to the production line; • Making sure the conveyor belt stays continuously filled; • Working with cheese on wooden shelves that can sometimes move or wobble; • Working safely and carefully in a dynamic production environment; • Collaborating with colleagues to keep the production process running smoothly.

The ideal candidate

• Has experience as a reach truck driver
• Has a valid reach truck certificate
• Has a steady hand and good judgment
• Is skilled at operating a reach truck
• Works accurately and safely
• Can work well independently, but is also a team player
• Doesn't mind working in a 4-shift system.
