When was the last time you took a helicopter to work?
For most engineers, the answer is: never. For you, it is about to become just another Tuesday.
Picture this. You fly to Brazil. On arrival, a driver is waiting to take you to a heliport. There, a helicopter is ready to fly you across the ocean to an offshore rig, where the client’s equipment is up and running. You step out, walk over to the control system, and make sure everything works down to the last detail. And this is just one country. Next month it might be Norway, Singapore or West Africa.
Does this sound like your kind of working day? Then read on.

Around 60% of your time you are travelling internationally, both onshore and offshore. Travel and the occasional weekend work come with the role.
In concrete terms:
- You support customers on location and ensure optimal uptime of their equipment;
- You deliver first-class service and technical support, and represent the organisation towards the customer;
- You implement changes to the control system that improve functionality and safety;
- You take care of maintenance, testing and commissioning of the control systems;
- You provide feedback to the team to improve the quality and performance of the products;
- You work together with software specialists on the use and maintenance of the systems;
- Together with the technical experts, you develop innovative solutions and optimisations.
- A completed technical education at MBO4, Bachelor’s or Master’s level (think Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Embedded Systems, Systems & Control or a comparable field);
- Demonstrable experience with PLC and SCADA;
- Hands-on experience writing software in practice;
- A broad interest in control technology, including PLC programming;
- The ability to adapt quickly to new requirements and situations;
- A flexible, creative, proactive and customer-focused attitude;
- A willingness to travel internationally and work on location, both onshore and offshore (around 60% of the role);
- An EU passport;
- A good command of the English language, both spoken and written.
- A salary between € 2,900 and € 5,300 gross per month, depending on knowledge and experience;
- A daily allowance of € 80 onshore and € 90 offshore, with meals provided;
- An overtime allowance of 150%;
- Varied, international work on some of the most complex technical systems in the world;
- A multicultural working environment with plenty of room to grow and develop;
- An open, informal, no-nonsense culture with short lines of communication.
