IT Infrastructure Engineer (International Position) HQ Zuid-Holland

ABOUT THE ROLE

For an internationally operating organisation, we are looking for an IT Infrastructure Engineer who is passionate about managing, improving and further developing a complex IT infrastructure. You will join a professional IT environment where continuity, security and innovation are at the core of everything we do.
In this role, you will work closely with an international IT team and play a key role in ensuring the reliability, availability and continuous modernisation of the IT environment. Alongside managing the day-to-day infrastructure, you will have the opportunity to contribute to strategic improvements, infrastructure migrations and international IT projects.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING?

As an IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining and optimising the company's IT infrastructure. You will work on a variety of projects and be involved in both operational and tactical IT challenges.

Your responsibilities include:

• Managing and optimising the server, network and virtualisation environment.
• Maintaining Microsoft Windows Server environments.
• Supporting and improving networking and security solutions.
• Contributing to infrastructure migrations and modernisation projects.
• Monitoring the availability, performance and security of the IT environment.
• Collaborating with international colleagues and external vendors.
• Identifying improvement opportunities and translating them into practical solutions.
• Documenting infrastructure changes, procedures and technical standards.

Ideally, you bring:

• An MBO or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• Experience as an Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Engineer or in a similar position.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server environments.
• Experience with VMware virtualisation.
• Experience with enterprise networking and network security.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and/or Microsoft Intune is considered an advantage.
• Experience with enterprise storage, backup and monitoring solutions is a plus.
• A good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
