Integration Engineer - Valves and Fittings

As an Integration Engineer - Valves and Fittings, you will be the key expert responsible for the selection, integration, and validation of valve and fitting systems across complex naval vessels. Did you know that a single naval vessel can contain more than 5,000 valves and fittings?

In this role, you will collaborate closely with internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors throughout the entire project lifecycle — from proposal to delivery — ensuring system performance, reliability, and compliance with the strictest industry requirements.

• Developing and defining system concepts and selecting optimal valve and fitting configurations during project engineering phases
• Participating in multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Preparing and reviewing technical specifications for suppliers and subcontractors
• Evaluating quotations and ensuring supplier deliverables meet project requirements
• Reviewing supplier-provided engineering data and ensuring availability for all relevant engineering teams
• Conducting technical integration reviews and testing with focus on valve and fitting interfaces
• Identifying improvements for component integration and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to implement them
• Driving continuous improvement through validation, testing, and optimization
• Occasionally supporting factory acceptance testing (FAT), installation, and commissioning (HAT/SAT)
• Building strong partnerships with suppliers, clients, and regulatory bodies
• Sharing expertise by coaching colleagues and promoting knowledge transfer

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Marine, or a related technical field
• Thorough knowledge of piping systems, system integration, and applicable regulations
• Experience with valves and fittings in marine or offshore projects
• Result-oriented with strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Fluent in English; Dutch language skills are a plus
• Experience with CAD tools such as Cadmatic or 3DExperience (Catia) is an advantage
• Willingness to work on-site at the company’s location in Vlissingen, The Netherlands
• Excellent references (security screening is part of the selection process)
• Permanent EU citizenship and passport are required due to the military nature of the projects
• Candidates with EU work visas or dual EU/non-EU nationalities are not eligible

• A salary between €3.500,- and €5.900,- depending on experience and knowledge
• 8% holiday pay
