Akira Energy is looking for a Crewing Coordinator with experience in the international maritime industry.
A successful voyage starts with the right crew. As Crewing Coordinator, you play a key role in ensuring that vessels and projects are staffed with the right people, at the right place and at the right time.
This is a dynamic position for someone who enjoys planning, coordinating, communicating and solving problems in a fast-moving international environment.
The RoleAs Crewing Coordinator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of crew planning, travel arrangements and crew changes across various vessels and projects.
You will act as an important link between crew members, clients, vessels and internal stakeholders, ensuring that all crewing and logistical arrangements run smoothly.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare, manage and continuously update crew schedules and rotations.
Assign crew members to different vessels and projects.
Coordinate crew changes and communicate arrangements to all relevant stakeholders.
Book international and domestic flights for crew members.
Arrange train travel, taxis and other required transportation.
Organise hotels and accommodation when required.
Ensure crew members arrive at the correct location and at the required time.
Maintain regular communication with crew members, clients and colleagues.
Respond quickly and effectively to last-minute changes, delays, cancellations or crew unavailability.
Maintain accurate crew, travel and planning administration.
Clearly communicate travel itineraries, crew-change information and operational updates.
Register and mobilise crew members for national and international projects.
Coordinate project-specific onboarding, documentation and mobilisation requirements.
Support the overall crewing operation and proactively identify solutions when circumstances change.
We are looking for someone who enjoys organising, planning and working with people. You take ownership, communicate clearly and remain calm when operational circumstances change unexpectedly.
You are proactive, practical and comfortable working in an environment where no two days are the same.
RequirementsGood written and spoken English, as you will communicate with international crew members and clients.
Available for a full-time position.
Strong organisational and planning skills.
Able to work independently and take responsibility for your own workload.
Comfortable working as part of a close and collaborative team.
Flexible and able to switch priorities quickly when required.
Calm, solution-oriented and decisive when dealing with unexpected operational changes.
Positive, enthusiastic and proactive working attitude.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Comfortable working with administrative systems and maintaining accurate records.
A maritime background and/or knowledge of STCW regulations is considered an advantage.
Previous experience within crewing, marine operations, logistics or the maritime sector would be beneficial, but is not essential. We equally value the right attitude, organisational ability and motivation to learn.
