Machine operator concrete industry

What you'll be doing
As a Machine Operator in concrete production, you will work in this concrete factory in Gouda where pavers are fully produced by machines! In this production role, it’s all about technology, oversight, and taking action. You work with automated machines and operate them via a computer screen. With the push of a button, you can immediately see what is happening in the process and intervene if needed. Not boring assembly line work, but a varied job where you experience multiple steps of the production process. The process starts with automatically mixing sand and other raw materials into concrete. Then the pavers are pressed and transported via conveyor belts to storage for drying. A day later, the stones are sorted, checked, and packaged. As an Operator, you monitor this process from start until the end. You check the quality of the pavers and remove any defective products. In addition, you help with packing and automatically stacking bricks on pallets. You also drive a forklift to move pallets around the factory. The work is partly physical: you handle pavers weighing about 5 kilos. You work in a small and tight-knit team where everyone takes on multiple tasks. You report to the working foreman and work closely with other operators and production staff. The working hours are fixed: from 5:00 AM to 2:30 PM. This way, you have every afternoon free.

You'll receive

• Salary between €2,600 and €3,200 gross per month for a full-time position
• 25 vacation days + 12 ADV days and further employment conditions are in line with the Collective Labor Agreement for the Concrete Production Industry

The ideal candidate

• Has technical insight and interest in machines
• Can work with a computer screen and control panels
• Is physically able to lift pavers of about 5 kilos
• Has experience driving a forklift or wants to learn
• Works accurately and has an eye for quality!

Where you'll work
You will be working at a concrete factory in Gouda where pavers and bricks are produced daily for outdoor spaces. The production is modern, largely automated, and set up according to the latest techniques. Quality, safety, and sustainability are central in everything made here. The factory is well-organized and operates with short lines of communication. The team consists of about ten colleagues who know each other well. Getting to know each other and making sure the production process runs smoothly together. The atmosphere is down-to-earth and practical: do what’s needed and help each other where you can. Technology plays a big role, but there’s also a lot of focus on teamwork, clarity, and a safe working environment. This is a stable employer where you know what to expect and where craftsmanship is valued.

Do you not yet have a forklift certificate but have experience in production or technical work? Then this is a position where you can learn that. Experience as a production worker, machine operator, or operator in another industry also fits well with this job as a machine operator in the concrete industry! Overtime is done weekly.
