Become the technical link between engineering and international suppliers in the development of advanced radar systems. As a Procured Parts Engineer, you translate complex requirements into supplier solutions, select the right partners, and drive product performance, quality, cost, and delivery. This role combines technical depth, stakeholder management, and strategic impact in a high-tech environment.
As a Procured Parts Engineer, you are technically responsible for complex procured parts and subsystems that are integrated into advanced radar systems. These components are typically custom-developed, manufactured, and tested by suppliers before becoming part of the final system. Our client is a leading international high-tech organisation that develops advanced systems and solutions for defence and security applications. Operating in a highly innovative environment, the company works on mission-critical technology that contributes to safety and security worldwide. What will you do? * Define technical requirements and specifications for complex supplier-developed parts and subsystems together with multidisciplinary engineering teams. * Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers capable of developing and manufacturing solutions that meet technical, quality, and performance requirements. * Guide suppliers throughout the development, testing, qualification, and delivery process while acting as their primary technical point of contact. * Drive continuous improvements in quality, performance, cost efficiency, lead times, and supplier collaboration.
Additionally, you have:
* A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
* At least 3 years of experience in a similar engineering, supplier management, procurement engineering, systems engineering, or product development role.
* Experience working with complex technical systems, components, or subsystems.
* Fluency in English; German and/or French is considered an advantage.
* Willingness to travel internationally to visit suppliers.
* Eligibility to obtain Dutch security clearance.
