Student Consultant Entrepreneurship

We are an internationally operating organization based in the Netherlands. Our focus is on supporting newcomers who want to start or grow their own businesses. From taking the first steps to securing funding and building continuity, we guide entrepreneurs throughout the entire process. We believe in the talent and contribution of people with a refugee background and in their ability to connect communities.

In this role, you will work closely with newcomer entrepreneurs for five months, supporting them in the early stages of developing their business. You bring knowledge of the Dutch business context, while the entrepreneur brings a concrete business idea and often years of experience from another market. Together, you will explore whether the idea is viable in the Dutch market.

You will work approximately 7-8 hours per week, communicate in English, and participate in workshops and meetings in an international setting.

• Support entrepreneurs in developing concrete outcomes and provide constructive feedback
• Schedule and prepare regular progress meetings
• Provide practical advice and support throughout the process
• Apply your academic knowledge in a real-world business environment
• Organize and conduct customer interviews
• Design and distribute a simple survey
• Contribute to preparing a business pitch
• Participate in capacity-building workshops together with the entrepreneur
• Act as a link between the entrepreneur and the Dutch business environment

You will work closely with entrepreneurs who are testing their business ideas in the Dutch market. You bring local knowledge and an academic perspective, while they bring a concrete idea and experience from a different context. Fluent English is required.

• University student, MSc candidate, or recent university graduate
• Demonstrable interest in entrepreneurship and startups
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
• Able to analyze information, draw conclusions, and develop solutions
• Comfortable working independently and taking on practical tasks

• A volunteer role of 7-8 hours per week for five months
• Hands-on experience working alongside an active entrepreneur in a real-world business environment
