About the RoleHays Life Sciences is recruiting a Quality Release Officer on behalf of a leading global pharmaceutical organisation based in Haarlem. This position sits within the Quality Assurance & Release function and offers the opportunity to work in a highly regulated GMP environment supporting the release of medicines and vaccines distributed
worldwide.
As a Quality Release Officer, you will work closely with Production, Quality Control and Qualified Persons (QPs) to ensure that products are manufactured, tested, packaged and released in compliance with regulatory requirements and company quality standards. The Quality team ensures that all materials used in our products are processed, tested, packaged, stored, and distributed in accordance with our high quality standards and in compliance with all regulatory requirements. By collaborating with manufacturing facilities, external manufacturers, and suppliers, our client creates a global production network dedicated to ensuring compliant and reliable product release for customers and patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and support deviation investigations, CAPAs and market complaints.
- Provide quality oversight and guidance across manufacturing and packaging operations.
- Drive quality awareness and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the site.
- Participate in cross-functional projects as the Quality representative.
- Support departments with the application and interpretation of GMP requirements and quality systems.
- Contribute to new product introductions, ensuring quality and compliance requirements are met.
- Review and approve GMP documentation, including SOPs, validation and qualification documents, and change controls.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant batch release activities.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Process Engineering or a related scientific discipline.
- Previous experience in a Quality Assurance, Quality Release or equivalent GMP-regulated role within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or life sciences industry.
- Strong knowledge of GMP requirements and quality systems.
- Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English.
- Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.
- Experience within vaccine, biologics or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of packaging operations and/or Quality Control activities.
- Experience working with SAP.
- Experience supporting investigations, change controls and CAPAs.
