Job description
The Facility Lead will manage facility engineering activities for a high potency secondary packaging project. The role involves overseeing facility design, construction, commissioning, and qualification while ensuring compliance with GMP, safety, and engineering standards.

Responsibilities
• Lead facility engineering activities for HVAC, utilities, fire protection, CSA, and building systems
• Review and approve engineering designs, specifications, and vendor documentation
• Coordinate engineering activities across project phases from design through handover
• Support risk assessments, GMP reviews, and safety evaluations
• Collaborate with operations, quality, EHS, contractors, and project teams
• Support commissioning, qualification, and operational readiness activities
• Resolve technical issues and manage project risks

Requirements
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or GMP regulated environments
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, utilities, and facility infrastructure systems
• Experience with facility design, construction, and project execution
• Understanding of commissioning and qualification activities
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Other Information
• Hybrid work model
• Minimum three days per week onsite in Haarlem, Netherlands
• Limited travel required for suppliers and project activities
