Head of Production

You translate the company strategy and growth ambitions into a clear manufacturing strategy and ensure its successful execution. You create the conditions for Production to consistently deliver against its targets for safety, quality, output, reliability and cost.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Lead and build the Production organization - provide direction to 12 direct reports and 270+ employees, strengthen the leadership team and develop the organization for future growth.
• Drive manufacturing performance - ensure reliable day-to-day operations and continuously improve productivity, efficiency, capacity and cost performance.
• Lead transformation & expansion - shape and deliver the further professionalization and expansion of Production, ensuring the organization is ready to scale.
• Own quality & compliance - ensure manufacturing activities meet applicable GxP, safety and environmental requirements and maintain a strong quality culture throughout Production.
• Set and execute manufacturing strategy - translate business objectives and growth plans into clear priorities, capacity plans and investment requirements, helping shape the investments needed for the next phase of Production.
• Lead across the organization - collaborate with Operations leadership and key stakeholders to drive decisions and deliver strategic and cross-functional priorities.

What you bring

You are a senior manufacturing leader with a strong background in biopharmaceutical or biological manufacturing. You combine operational excellence with the ability to build and transform, and understand the complexity of manufacturing biological products at scale.

You bring:

• An academic degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Engineering or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of leadership experience in a biopharmaceutical or biological manufacturing environment. Experience with plasma-derived products is strongly preferred.
• Proven experience leading a large and complex manufacturing organization, including leaders of teams.
• A strong track record in organizational transformation, scaling operations and improving manufacturing performance.
• Strong knowledge of GxP and quality requirements in complex biological manufacturing.
• Strong business and financial acumen, including capacity, resource and budget management.
