Application Engineer (Printing Machinery) | Company car | Hybrid options

Some people sell machines. Some people fix machines. You are the one who knows whether a machine will actually do what the customer needs, and you can prove it on the shop floor.

Our client is an international manufacturer of high-end printing presses for the print and packaging industry. Its digital printing activities are growing, and the team needs an application expert to keep up. That's where you come in.

Your role

You are the link between customers, sales, service and engineering. You are just as comfortable in front of a press as in a customer meeting.

What you'll do:

• Prepare and run demos tailored to the customer's own production needs
• Turn complex applications into demo scenarios that help the sales team close deals
• Support first installations at customer sites and make sure start-up goes smoothly
• Solve application and production issues during ramp-up
• Share what you learn with Sales and Product Management
• Help build the tools, processes and knowledge of the digital team

You'll work closely with colleagues across Europe and travel regularly, mostly within Europe, to customers, exhibitions and other company locations.

Who you are

• You have hands-on experience in industrial digital printing
• You come from application support, print instruction or technical pre-sales
• Knowledge of UV inkjet is a nice plus
• You understand workflow integration, colour management and production processes
• You talk easily with operators and with directors
• You are structured, self-driven and happy to build processes in a growing business
• You are fluent in English, which is the working language of the role
• You speak more than one European language? German or French will help you a lot, since much of the travel is within Europe
• You are ready to travel regularly
