Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and self-motivated mechanical professional to join our service team, working on the maintenance, refurbishment, assembly, and functional testing of industrial valve systems and related mechanical components.
The role involves a combination of workshop-based activities and on-site assignments at customer facilities. You will be responsible for ensuring equipment is serviced to the required technical standards, operates safely, and meets customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect, maintain, repair, and refurbish a range of industrial flow-control equipment and mechanical assemblies.
- Carry out functional testing, calibration-related checks, and equipment adjustments in accordance with technical specifications.
- Operate workshop machinery and perform mechanical machining tasks where required.
- Complete equipment installation, dismantling, reassembly, and maintenance work at customer sites.
- Document completed work, maintain accurate service records, and ensure all relevant administrative tasks are finalised.
- Communicate technical findings, service updates, and recommendations to customers.
- Follow established health, safety, and quality procedures throughout all assignments.
- Work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues and customers.
We are looking for someone with a practical mechanical background, a strong sense of responsibility, and a proactive approach to solving technical problems.
The ideal candidate will bring:
- A completed vocational qualification in mechanical engineering, mechanical technology, automotive mechanics, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience servicing industrial machinery, mechanical assemblies, or flow-control equipment. Experience with valve systems and safety-related equipment is an advantage.
- A valid VCA safety certificate.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and routine service documentation.
- Strong English communication skills.
- A full category B driving licence and access to personal transport.
- A flexible approach to working hours, including occasional overtime.
- The ability to work independently, prioritise safety, and maintain positive working relationships with customers and colleagues.
