The Sr. Engineer - Color Components is a senior individual-contributor role within this team, accountable for the technical delivery and full lifecycle management of an assigned portfolio of components. Working closely with the Product Owner, you will own the technical approach, engineering readiness and quality of the component portfolio — while providing senior technical leadership within the Scrum team(s) and raising engineering standards through mentorship, review and example.
This is a hands-on role where you will write and review production code regularly.
- Serve as the senior technical authority for an assigned portfolio of color technology components (.NET libraries/NuGet packages, APIs/services and supporting utilities), owning their delivery, quality and full lifecycle.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Component Engineers through code reviews, design reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Plan and allocate capacity across the component portfolio, manage delivery commitments and facilitate Scrum ceremonies in close collaboration with the Product Owner.
- Maintain a component catalog covering services, packages, dependencies, consumers, environments and ownership, and enforce portfolio standards including versioning, backward-compatibility and deprecation processes.
- Steward API/package contracts and integration patterns to ensure consistency and reusability, and recommend the most suitable integration architecture per component based on downstream consumer needs.
- Partner with the Product Owner to translate epics into technically implementable work items with clear acceptance criteria, and act as Technical Lead for mid-sized projects.
- Define and enforce the Definition of Done and CI/CD quality gates, collaborating with QA/automation resources to achieve unit, integration, contract and regression coverage.
- Coordinate release readiness and ensure components ship with correct versioning, documentation and migration notes, including full operational readiness for services.
- Translate R&D inputs into developer specifications and contribute to patent screening and disclosure for innovations arising from the component portfolio.
- Contribute to the team's technical roadmap by identifying component capability gaps, platform improvements and emerging technology candidates.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Applied Physics/Mathematics or a related discipline.
- 8-10+ years of production-grade software component and/or engineering leadership experience in a .NET/service-oriented environment.
- Proven track record of establishing and enforcing engineering standards and providing technical mentorship to engineers.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams with cross-functional and external contributors.
- Solid experience with component lifecycle practices: versioning, backward compatibility, release management and consumer enablement.
- Strong C#/.NET and API/service design skills, with hands-on experience in NuGet packaging and dependency management.
- Test automation mindset with experience in CI/CD pipelines, covering unit, integration, contract and regression testing.
- Familiarity with operational readiness practices for services: logging, metrics, tracing, health checks and runbooks.
- Working knowledge of Azure fundamentals and SQL integration patterns is desirable.
- Affinity with or curiosity about color science and colorimetric workflows is a strong plus.
- Competitive salary
- 8% vacation allowance
- 13th month
- 46 holidays
- Hybrid way of working
- Travel expenses to and from work
- Training opportunities that will help you grow beyond this position
- Being part of events and networking platforms
