Our client is a startup SaaS based company, that was founded in 2018. They have created their own software in the container and freight forwarding industry. Their software is very innovative and fully digitalized. This software fulfills all the modern-day needs in the industry and makes global shipping processes faster, more cost-efficient and smoother. A few examples are the option to upload en track tasks as well as commercial invoices in their unique customer portal so that the entire process would run smooth from A tot Z. They wanted to create a software that is user friendly by looking through the eyes of their customers, along the entire journey to understand and implement how to meaningfully improve performance.

They are currently looking for a Senior Back-end Developer to help their company grow to the next level.

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will be the person to add true strength to the environment and codebase. The team consists out of a Lead Backend Developer and a Freelance Frontend Developer. Currently, they are looking to expand to a minimum of 4 Developers. You will get the opportunity to work with the best cloud-based and own-branded software for the logistics branch. Your role will consist out of 90% Development of new functionalities and 10% Operations. It's important to always stay innovative, but also to maintain performance as well as keep the stability of the software up and running.

You're not afraid to face any technical challenges that may show up in the process and you're a true team player! Our ideal candidate likes to take his responsibility, but also likes to help his fellow developers up when they are in need of some coaching. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who likes to grow together with his team and company.

• 5+ years as a Backend Developer, preferably with Node.js experience
• Strong skills in data modelling and mapping
• Setting up and building backend API's from scratch
• You enjoy building innovative software on a big scale and to manage it
• You're efficient in your work and know how to deliver high quality code

Nice to haves:

• Connecting to various (high traffic) third party API's
• TypeScript and NestJS or similar
• ORMs and PostgreSQL
• Queing technologies
• Cloud hosting providers, preferably AWS
• GraphQL

• A salary of up to 75K a year, based on your knowledge and experience
• The option to work fully remote (Sometimes for 1 day a week in the office. Of course this will be in consultation with your manager)
• 25 vacation days per year based on a 40 hour work week
• 8% Holiday pay
• Full compensation of travelling expenses
• Option to work from home if you are living abroad in the EU
