For our client we are searching for an experienced PHP developer with great understanding of Symfony. The company is in the luxury lifestyl products and has a webshop. However the company grown far beyond the webshop alone. Think multiple sales channels (online and offline) and warehouses, multichannel customer service, international shipping and returns. Think about all the data streams to be collected, aggregated, analyzed and reported. Not to mention the peaks of traffic generated by campaigns on social media accounts with millions of followers. Because of the expansion we are looking for experienced and talented PHP developers.
The role as an PHP Developer
Test Driven Development (TDD) is the standard in the IT department in the sense that we do not write code before writing a failing test. The current workflow can be summarized as follows: code changes committed and pushed to Github trigger Travis CI jobs that run all the phpunit, phpspec and behat test suites. Commits to certain branches trigger deployment of the single container Docker application to Elastic Beanstalk. The Elastic Beanstalk apps are collections of AWS services like EC2, ELB, S3, CloudFront, ElastiCache and RDS. Multi-container Docker is used for the development environment. In all environments, the application runs on nginx and php-fpm. We use dlite to run the application on the company Macbooks. All team members are expected to contribute to the maintenance and innovation of the entire DevOps workflow and technology stack
Requirements
- At least one year of relevant work experience
- Has extensive knowledge of Symfony
- Fluent in English
- Is pursuing, has the ability to learn quick and has good communication skills
- A pashion for fashion would be nice, but is no requirement
- Working at an international luxury lifestyle brand with a great team
