Are you an Automation Engineer with shipbuilding experience, looking for a role that combines technical breadth and a focus on sustainable technologies? If so, this opportunity could be for you!

As an Automation Engineer, you will be part of a small multidisciplinary team dedicated to developing sustainable solutions for the maritime industry. Your responsibilities will include designing, building, and testing software for ship automation systems, incorporating data analytics to enhance functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement automation solutions for ships.
• Analyze and visualize data to support system optimization.
• Provide technical support across various stages of the project.
• Define specifications for equipment and materials.
• Collaborate with project management, production, and operations teams.
• Act as the primary contact and knowledge source for automation-related matters.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience in designing and installing automation systems, preferably within shipbuilding or offshore sectors. Other key qualifications include:

• BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field.
• Experience in automation engineering, particularly in development, testing, and commissioning (including HMI, PLC, SCADA).
• Proficiency in software tools like MATLAB and Python.
• Familiarity with IoT solution development and integration.
• Passion for sustainability and environmental impact.
• Fluent in English, with Dutch skills being a plus.
• Preferably based in the Netherlands or willing to relocate long-term.
