Our client has specialized in improving fruit cultivation over the past few years. Their technology helps growers manage resources and crops more intelligently and sustainably. By using depth cameras and RTK-GPS, they install their advanced edge devices on tractors. This equipment scans trees in real-time to gather data, which is then used to dose the right amount of chemicals, monitor soil quality, and ensure uniform tree growth.

All software is developed in-house by a talented team of developers. The visualization platform, which turns collected data into user-friendly insights for growers, is a crucial part of their offering. This helps growers not only manage their crops better but also increase productivity and reduce their environmental impact. The focus of our client is entirely on software development for hardware they procure themselves. These innovative solutions are applied worldwide and deliver measurable results for growers in various climates.

As a Python Developer in this innovative company, you will work on a cutting-edge platform that harnesses the power of data analytics and AI to create sustainable agricultural solutions. You will be responsible for building scalable backend systems that process large sets of agricultural data, improving decision-making for farmers globally.

You will be working within an international team that is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of precision agriculture. This role provides you with the opportunity to work on impactful greenfield projects, ensuring that your work contributes to smarter farming practices that reduce waste and environmental impact.

The platform you will help build is used worldwide by farmers, making it a critical service with a global impact. You’ll be working on distributed, highly available systems while collaborating closely with both frontend developers and DevOps teams.

• 3+ years of experience as a Python Developer
• Experience with backend technologies and frameworks
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, and REST APIs
• A passion for sustainable technology and Agritech
• Experience working in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure is a plus)
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes is a plus
• An eagerness to learn and grow within the Agritech and Greentech fields
• Residing in the Netherlands

• A competitive salary up to €6000 gross per month, based on experience
• 25 vacation days
• The ability to work remotely for up to 4 weeks per year

• IND sponsorship (relocation is not possible for this role, only candidates already in the Netherlands)
• A hybrid work model (2/3 days in the office)
