Our client is a leading company in the medical device industry, dedicated to advancing innovation in medical technology and product development. They are expanding their team and are currently seeking an R&D Engineer to play a key role in developing and refining cutting-edge medical devices. As an R&D Engineer, you will lead product development from concept to implementation, ensuring compliance with industry standards while staying ahead of market trends. You will work closely with research institutions and suppliers to enhance technical expertise and will play a critical role in optimizing production processes and ensuring regulatory compliance. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where innovation and hands-on collaboration drive success.

What you bring

You, as the ideal R&D Engineer, will recognize yourself in the following:

A Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Medical Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience;
Proven experience in product development within the medical device industry, preferably with at least 5 years of experience in design, testing, and regulatory compliance;
In-depth knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and medical device regulations (ISO 13485, MDR, FDA guidelines);
Proficiency in CAD software, data analysis tools, and the Microsoft Office suite;
Fluency in Dutch and English (written and spoken);
A hands-on mindset, energized by collaborating with engineering and production teams to successfully complete prototype testing and validation on the production floor.
