Do you have experience leading the electrical scope of offshore wind projects from design to commissioning? Are you looking to step into a senior engineering role?

We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, and execution of offshore wind infrastructure, including offshore substations, HV systems, and power distribution networks. You'll work closely with engineering teams and stakeholders to ensure all electrical systems meet project, client, and safety requirements from concept through commissioning.

Tasks & responsibilities:

Lead the design and engineering of electrical systems for offshore wind projects, including HV, MV, and LV systems.
Develop single-line diagrams, load lists, cable schedules, grounding systems, and lighting layouts.
Prepare specifications and technical evaluations for electrical equipment such as switchgear, transformers, UPS, and cables.
Support the review of vendor documents, FAT/SAT, and participate in site inspections and commissioning when required.
Ensure designs comply with industry standards (IEC, IEEE, DNV) and project-specific requirements.
Collaborate closely with other engineering disciplines, procurement, and construction teams.
Act as the technical point of contact for clients, contractors, and offshore partners.
Provide mentoring and guidance to junior engineers and designers within the team.

Gevraagd

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
7+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 3 years in offshore wind, oil & gas, or energy projects.
Strong understanding of offshore electrical infrastructure, including HV substations and export/import systems.
Familiar with ETAP, EPLAN, AutoCAD, and SmartPlant Electrical or equivalent tools.
Solid knowledge of IEC standards, grid compliance requirements, and offshore design codes.
Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing. Dutch is a plus!
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Willingness to travel for project meetings, FAT/SAT, and offshore site visits.
